Social Network Marketing is a pretty big thing at the moment, everybody is realising the power of the social media giants like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
It does make perfect sense though to use these awesome platforms to build a Network Marketing business, after all our business is all about building relationships with other people. This isn’t a faceless business; this is about getting stuck in and helping others to succeed.
Let’s gets one thing out of the way first though, the social media sites are not for spamming (i.e. ONLY posting ‘money’ links). There are already plenty of spammers on sites like Facebook and YouTube, don’t be one of them. I don’t know about you but its pretty annoying!
You can go a long way in creating trust and friendships in social networking sites, you can also promote your own brand, products and content, plus there is the advantage of increased exposure, if people like the stuff you are sharing then they may well share it with their friends also. Using these networks properly could make you very popular online.
It makes good business sense to harness the power of social network marketing and you should invest whatever time and money you need to become good at it. It’s just too powerful to miss.

Facebook – You should make sure you are on Facebook. It’s a great way to connect with your prospects and also great for finding new ones! You can look for and add friends who are interested in a similar niche to you. Search and join groups in your niche. Joining groups is a great way to increase your friend base because other people from the groups are likely to start adding you as a friend. Join about 200 groups and watch your friend requests go crazy!
Create a Facebook fan page, this is a cutting edge marketing strategy right now that you should take advantage of. Every time someone hits the ‘Like’ button they join your fan page and you can then easily keep in contact with these people en mass. It is just like building a list but only a list of people that already like you. Its a good idea to have some sort of offer on your fan page to encourage people to not only ‘like’ you, but also to opt in to your list.
Bookmarking sites – These are great sites for posting your content, when people come across your articles/videos they can share it with their friends if they find it useful, they can also vote for/like it at the push of a button. Obviously you will get some good traffic from this and also Google will pay more attention to your website with all those extra backlinks. These days Google and the other search engines are giving more credit to backlinks from social bookmarking sites, so the more of these you can get the better your traffic levels will be. Because you want your content marked on as many sites as possible you might want to consider using a free tool like Onlywire to do it all for you automatically, it will save you a ton of time!
